more in the life of..

so here i am, telling you more about myself and my life. i feel strangely compelled to, as this is a blog..
I'm not sure where I left you in my life, but i have done plenty since. between 21st's, parties, work and life I'm starting to see the upside to being an insomniac because if I didnt sleep, i would miss less.
Maybe I'll start by expressing sympathies to anyone and everyone affected by black saturday. I have been extremely lucky, because my parents house is still standing and my Mum is ok. It got close, but they didnt get us.
Friday night I did a number of things, and also missed a party that I did want to go to, but unfortunately couldnt(unless they can create time lapses and i can attend lots of things at once)..
-Camp 6 at the Nott-
was interesting. I felt incredibly old. As a fourth year, I feel that the new jaffy's just keep getting younger. their inability to drink properly and their ability to make it seem childish has significantly improved. It seems hard to think that I was once them, although I have never been drunk at camp 6. (which im sure is a crime on some level..)
also, i knew almost no jaffy's - on account of being a fourth year and also a mega, meaning i didnt get kids on camp - which makes me sad on so many levels..
also, i was driving. so the thrill of being sober was while awesomely amazing, meant that I perhaps missed the buzz that everyone else had going on..
despite all this, it was good to catch up with new friends and old friends..
-The Beach 21st-
I will try to leave out names in this blog and refer to people by description. I rocked up at this party sober, and left sober. amazing, since I seemed to be having more fun then all the tired faces at 1am in the morning.
My usual attempts to create a dancefloor failed and I resorted to dancing with boys i did not know, until i decided that dancing on my own was better. It is a shame I did not get to drink the daiquiries there, they looked delicious but alas, the curse of being the driver is the inability to drink. not that I didnt seem more drunk then everyone else there.

Saturday, valentines day.
I decided I hated valentines day the day before this one, as I went to buy birthday presents at chaddy and saw all the commercialisation I thought - argh. Its not that I really want someone to share valentines day with, its just that - its such an excuse for people to get cute and couply.
but thats ok, we have decided K-pep is ok with dying alone(by choice) and being the 'crazy aunt' to everyones child. well, i am ok with this.
anyway, i ignored it by sleeping after boxing and then going to a 21st. -apologies to the many valentines parties and etc that I missed.
-The highschool 21st-
so this was a bit awkward. people i had not seen in years, coming all together to celebrate a loved one turning 21.
its really a short story.
I got absolutely smashed.
it was fantastic. champagne and orange juice went down well with me that night! Although i did stop when i felt my limit, because no, we are not ready for another dumplings night.
(oh also, thanks to bestie for being my valentines. aw.)
-the morning after-
felt a bit hungover. after having stayed at my besties house, i went out for lunch in berwick with her and her girls. which was very fabulous because of course, being hungover I felt like eating everything and eating nothing. ended up ordering what I in fact was not in the mood for, but enjoyed it anyway.
Then I went and watched the L-word at my friends house(3rd ep of season 6 and it was great!)..

-geebung and after events-
Being still slightly hungover, my friend comes over because we are going to geebung. it was an awesome night, starting with baileys imitation drinks and then continueing to a place that was a lot more crowded then i remember it ever being!
adam12 was the coverband that night and though i have always loved them and in the past been slightly stalker-ish because me and bestie used to go to far away places to see them play, they were really not as oomphy as i remember them.
I mean, they were good, they were a good cover band - but they just used to be so much better. Maybe it was the place, because i think it is too small and the sound system not great enough to do them justice or maybe they just lost their passion.... who knows, maybe i just got old. (but that is so hardly likely)
geebung shuts at 11 apparently, which is when our night got started. after being kicked out(all of us, not just me), we watched four guys do a massive nudie run and i say massive because boy were they running. I think we were slightly tipsy at this time because this was really the most amusing thing of the night thus far.
after having some pikers, we end up in a car driving towards chapel street singing/screaming the lyrics to such songs as 'i kissed a girl' and etc.. (i actually cant remember any of the others now, i just know that one was on..) which was highly amusing for all of us. after another piker gets out, there was just us three girls. (they know who they are.. laura and mel.. arh, but which laura and mel because these names are so common!! ahha!)
we decided that triplets was our aim, so bar crawl we did along chapel street. it was fantastic. places on a sunday night are just so not full of triplets! and everywhere we went was on the verge of closing so our crazy dancing was not appreciated to the full extent i think it should have been...
-the garden-
on monday, i got down with the soil. Taf, (who follows my blog and i follow hers.. aw.)
we made a magical garden in my wheelbarrow with butternut pumpkin, organo, thyme, basil, chocolate mint and strawberries.. (hopefully both these plants will take over the garden and i can have some sort of chocolate mint strawberrie concoction going on..)
we also introduced timmy-tom to the world. he is so wonderful. Timmy-tom the blue elephant watering can. I'm almost sure that taf and I had way too much fun making this garden for it to be a success.
The gardening guy at the gardening store inwardly laughed at my buying timmy-tom and I tried to explain what we were doing, causing more inward laughter. (but apparently he was cute and flirty so i will have to go buy some more plant accessories..)
so, we made some drainage holes and then put our soil in this wheelbarrow(half organic, half the cheapest stuff we could find..) and created a magic place for my cons from meredith to rest.
(note: it is now two days later and the garden is not dead. I am SO proud.)

-maeva's dinner-
ok so the next gig, after doing some work at uni and then dropping in at the arnott st house, was at maeva' house.
She has recently moved into a new house, with new housemates - and the game begins. She told me last week that I apparently know one of them, but that she wasnt telling me who it was. after her boyfriend worked it out he decided that we would now have our own secret and he told me who it was (hannah), and we didnt tell them that i knew..
so me being a fantastic actor, i put on a show(woot), and the famous scene at the nott went like, "hannah, maeva has this new housemate and she wont tell me who it is. do you know?"
im not sure if you bloggers are following but trust me, despite maeva insisting that she had suspicions of me knowing, they both thought i had no clue.
so when i walked into the house and hannah was jumping around and i said ' oh who didnt know you were going to be here' it caused riots.. hilarious. everybody should have been there.
*high five to people on excellentness*
then we all sat down to this wonderful four course meal prepared by maeva, and it was so yummy and i was so full.. SO full..

wow, i think this blog is getting long but theres only a few more things i would like to add..
-geelong roadtrip-
the day after we went to geelong fora function. (bunch of jaffy's in geelong got to meet.. via us.. )
which went fabulously, we had a 90% turnup.. (i think like, 3 of the 4 people allocated showed up.. but there was more people tagging so it was awesome)
I then demonstrated how to clean a bbq not with a scrapie thingyy(which would have been handy) but with all the random things on hand like napkins, coke, forks, etc. i explained to the jaffy's that this is am important skill
to things to learn here:
-never drinking coke again, cleans bbq's way too well..
-coke cleans quite well, but when dry leaves stickiness so always pour on water afterwards.
so much fun.

which brings me up to now, after watching the l-word last night again, i got woken up today by the gardner doing our gardens. right outside my window.

so i gave in, got up and wrote this.
princess, i hope you are well. still cannot figure out how to follow your blog. Blogger is against us.
my last insight at the end of the extra long last few days is
- people who are late are awesome.. (because i am late for uni right now, and therefore..)

K-PEP loves you.
