i need to tell all of you about the exciting church fete that i went to..
it was completely random and only because my friend naomi had walked past this sign on the way to uni for ages in front of the church saying "fete"...
she was like "do you want to come to a church fete like, right now?"
and i went "hm.. i have all these things i am meant to be doing but why not?"
and im so glad i went! i got this amazing new couch for like 20 bucks, and an armchair, and i got a coffee machine.. and the most amazing of the amazing thing that hasnt been given yet so i cant really talk about it here YET but i will totally tell all of you very soon!
and this was the beginning of what i like to call, the driving weekend..
so went to boxing as per normal on saturday and then i drove to echuca!
-laura's housewarming-
was in echuca, because this is her new living place of residence, as of a few months ago since she got a real job wrking as a journo in one of the papers up there..
so i take the three hour drive up there(by this point i had only just started driving again..) and am pretty tired when i get there but a few drinks later im totally fine and ready to party it up with the echuca locals.. other various high school friends had come up for the occasion, along with uni friends..
we ended up going out on the town in echuca, which was so much fun because all their drinks were incredibly cheap -10 dollars for two skittle bombs! (apparently its not clever to then exclaim "oh it really tastes like skittles!") which seemed impressive until the $4. absinth shots, which seemed impressive until the two for a dollar vodka shots...
needless to say, we were starting to make an impression and mel was starting to not be able to stand up so we swept away in all our glory - half carrying mel back..
the next morning i proceeded to get up early and drive all the way back to coburg...
-anjs 21st-
was in coburg, in the afternoon..
our wonderful funky friend anj turns 21 and it was the most lovely weather, and the most lovely tea party!
there was so much delicious food and much tea, which is always a good thing at a 21st and it seems important to mention that anj hasnt been given the massively awesome present that katie and i have for her yet.. it is happening tomorrow night.. so suspence for that! ye-ah!
then i had to drive to uni to direct my very first rehearsal! which was amazing fun but this is all a story that is deviating from this one..
so thus we enter the last few weeks of my life where the craziness intensified and spun me out of control.. i dunno how much i want to go into it here, but being massively overcommitted over a long period of time, i started to function less well and yearn sleep and started to not do things to the best of my ability.. i was getting more emotional, and not necessarily bitchy though i think there was some of that - but just unhappy and unmotivated to do the things that i normally like.. but more on this later because its like a big thing that comes at the end..
-lardner park-
so after a crazy long week i go to work at lardner park - a farmers market near my parents house where my aunty had set up a food stall with turkey produce.. i went down just the friday but it was SO much fun because i got to catch up with the rellies and also to be out of contact from like everyone for the entire day.. yay..
-blonde on the rocks-
i came back that night and katie, naomi, tina and i went to blonde on the rocks - the once a month all girls club at eurotrash! yay!
before this, naomi and tina were like, majourly late because for a long part of this day i wasnt sure if i was still going.. so katie and i go to this other bar beforehand and wow.. let me tell you about this amazing shot that i did..
it is called the blue dragon - or something.. the person next to me had the shot and it just looked so amazing.. the shot - and its sambucca mixed with something else-goes in the wine glass, he sets it alight and pours it into a different glass and then smothers it with the wine glass, you skull the drink and then breath in the fumes..
NOW. this looked amazing - so amazing.. i just had to ask the girl behind the bar "what was that" and she said "oh it really fucks you up, its a blue dragon"
so naturally i just had to try it - i only had a half shot but let me tell you now, it really fucks you up.. im talking WOW fire down your throat, a warm spine the whole deal.
it was amazing..
so then we went to blonde after that where we got $4. jelly shots which admittedly werent that good but was still cheap!
-foh and maeva's-
the next day i woke up thinking "omg i need to get someone to do foh today" so rushed into uni to do it myself and that was fun, being hungover just a bit!
then i went to maevas where i sipped some of cocktails but drank mostly mocktails as the driving ness was a factor!
after this i went to
-Rhys' 21st-
yay. another monumental 21st! didnt know many people, and couldnt stay long because i had to go to scum afterparty- but it was good to go to dingly and see rhysness amongst all the friends and family he has..
-SCum-
i probably talked about scum before, i think.. i cant remember! but i went to bumpout which was pretty straightforward and then to the afterparty where we played marry sex kill until the wee hours after i gave out the most random presents to the cast (kinder surprises.. woot..) - a big thankyou to them if they read this for the earrings and the beer.. its good stuff!
which then moved into bump in for adfest, which was really fun because i got to paint banners and al that - somehting i have previously missed out on but am now such a fan of!
but anyway.. this is getting long again and im feeling sick right now so im going to go sleep and hope i dont feel more sick tomorrow because i so dont have time!

Dear all the lovely people that I miss so terribly much because you are either overseas, or as busy as i am -
wow, it has been a long time since i have typed into this box.
I have many things to update you on, as my life has pretty much been crazy since i last blogged and looks to slow down in oh.. 3 weeks.. its funny, because when something crazy happens im like "oh this would make a great blog entry.. but i've probably forgotten these things now.. sorry!"
the most important thing now is the indian philosophy expository exercise i am meant to be doing right now.. because it was due in wednesday.. but instead i thought, "i need new shoes" -hence why i now have painted nails, and new clothes but no new shoes. I got a bit distracted! but i feel much better after spending lots of money on things i cant afford.. retail therapy works my friend!
so lets start at the beginning again shall we.. hm.. the last time i blogged was the night after the car crash.. 900 dollars excess and a totaled car(apparently!) later, I am still standing! yay!
-SCUM-
recently i production managed a play entitled "SCUM: death destruction and dirty laundry.." or some such thing and you may already know this and indeed, if you are lovely like jeremy - you may have been to see it..
it went well, but unfortunately i was only able to see the actual play in performance once - the opening night -because on other nights i was so caught up in being busy that i missed out..
im happy with the way it ended up, although still i am a bit confused as to what i actually did throughout the entire process.. (heaps, but what? i cant pinpoint it..) the cast got me some james squire, and some dice earrings at the end of it which i thought was just SO lovely of them -since i love my squire and i do love earrings..
-FUNKYtown time-
started as a roaring success.. katie, anj and i went to sydney road and had coffee and went to this little organic grocery store thats owned by someone who used to go to monash... it was absolutely divine, and i remember clearly that we said we WOULD continue to do it every week, and make it somewhere exciting outside of uni because that way our lives could have dimensions outside of work and study....
so, having said that -
on week 2, katie had a very important meeting to attend.. so we moved it to the next week and had it before FFM at uni...
week 3- anj forgot and we tried to make a double session the next week but it didnt really work out..
week 4 I was at Lardner Park doing the family working thing -and so we moved it again to FFM where i dont remember much because i accidently was absolutely smashed(but more on that later..)
week 5(this week just gone) none of us were really expecting it to happen on the friday arvo because it hasnt really worked since week 1.. alas, we need to schedule a time next week..
so as you can see.. its going really well!
(or being optimistic, it soon will be.. aw..)
-SUSAN-
i went out for my friends birthday and it was absolutely marvellous.. there was noone else i knew there except for susan, and as susan informs me - i was possibly the only white person there. but this was not at all noticed by myself, as i bonded with her friends by getting susan quite drunk and giving her number to the barman who she thought was cute and who kept giving her free drinks..
nonetheless we thought susan knew this and i didnt realise she was too drunk to have taken it in until the next week when we were chatting on facebook and she says that this bartender had called her and asked on a date.. upon being informed by me of how he got her number, i realise my phone is ringing and shes yelling "you did what-i cant believe you did this-omg what did you do-tell me everything-how could you do this!"
of course, i dont think she minded much since he did call(and i think has since proven to be a no go.. sigh..) - and it was of course, hilarious.
-Dentistry and CQ-
the next night i was determined not to have a big night but this all goes out the window when i party the night away with sophea..
starting the night having a nice dinner, we follow this by going to a party with all her fellow dentistry students and demonstrators.. now, sophea and i have a pact - when we go out we have to complete a task. my task for this party is to convince everyone that i am a dentistry student and that my name(i think we were joking) is ling ling. which it is not. a few people really truly bought it as well, and to them i say "haha" and to that canadian boy that i may have confessed the entire thing to before i left "haha on them ey?"
we were just having a ball when we had to leave because we were meeting laura at CQ to have a blast dancing, so we told everyone we had a 21st on and myself sophea and ada went looking for a taxi...
so did these two guys from the party it turns out and when I, and i stress I, managed to get one they promptly jumped in and ran away.
bastards! there is no chivalry left in this world, let alone decency. (and for the rest of the night, "i cant believe that guy stole our taxi" was our favourite saying)
but on to CQ did we go, and I was under the impression from the way i was hearing people talk about this place that it would be really top class... but as it turns out, its just full of drunk boys just waiting to hit on you. (most sleazy)
karras task: to make out with a bartender.. which while was not successful, i did manage to get a free drink off some guy at the bar upon arrival, chat some other guy up and make out with some other guy.. i cant really remember, coz it was ages ago.. but i do remember feeling quite proud of all my free drinks and accomplishments..
lauras task: i cant remember! (though im sure she didnt do it..)
adas task: getting some guys accessory and wearing it for a few minutes..
sophs task: making out with a random(which is not sophs style.. the pash and dash)
needless to say i dont think any of them completed their tasks and although i didnt complete mine, i completed theirs..
i judge that night to be a success, although laura and i spent the night having lost soph and ada we all had a good time.. (well i did..)
-picnic-ing-
ah.. the next day presented a peaceful day of picnicing with those i love in clayton.. seriously!
arriving at maevas with lots of cheese, dip and salami I discover that she has already made lunch for me and thus we must eat both our lunches which results in us being absolutely full - but full of good things..
i quite enjoyed this lunch because it was so peaceful and we spent a good amount of time napping on her floor afterwards.. so after d and m'ing about life and its prospects with maeva, i decided it was time to set off for naomis. because what else would i do with my life but hang out with my friends? i decide i can walk from maevas to naomis so i make a map and set off to explore the streets of clayton...
which was very calming!
after getting to naomi's i once more gorge on cheese and other wonderful assortments of US candy from tina's friend called Kara in the US, I end up ending there for the night because going home was just too complicated .... (they live in clayton.. )
i slept on a couch which was very uncomfortable so in the morniing i wake up with a kink in my neck.. which means it tainted my whole next day because i spent the day with a kink in my neck.. sigh.. but worth it nonetheless!

the next weekend is the weekend of the cakes.. so many people ordering cakes from me but i dont for one second pretend that im not flattered and completely willing to make cakes for every single person i know.. im just saying, when i said "for sure, yes i will make you a cake for this time" that it would be on the same weekend..
-jeanettes housewarming-
was awesome. i made a fairy cake which looked like a butterfly and had a mixture of like 4 flavours and was rainbow coloured.. awesome and im sure jeanette still has my cake cook box which i for sure need back.. but the party was so chillaxed and wonderful, i talked away with people all night and made pizza at like 2 30 in the morning.. (i really felt like pizza..)
although i must comment that it is very hard to be a non smoker when you have people rolling ciggies and putting them in front of you... sigh... (i may have failed.. but i held out for so long!)
-emma peps bday-
emma pep is my sister and it was her bday that week, so after boxing emma and tys pick me up and off we go to drouin for family afternoon tea.. which exploded into the usually mother daughter argument about where im going with my life.. it was dramatic and stressful and so typical of family gatherings and it was really, an absolute blast.. (it was, with that exception)
-dannys going away-
was said. danny and steph are now overseas, and will miss the whole year of student theatre which makes all us directors for this year very sad... im sure this party was chilaxed as well, which is good because the week was so busy...
-amanda and jeremys going away-
also another sad occasion! amanda and jeremy are now as we speak having a blast in germany which is all very well for them btu what about those of us who miss them back here? (i miss you guys and so does everyone else but im reading your blog and its very good!)
i made a cake for this as well, a classic rasberry macadamia one.. (i think.. i cant remember..) but it was fabulous and wonderful and they loved it which is good..
-this was held in the tea rooms at the botanical gardens which was very nice.. yes, yes.
oh and i had a big argument with rhys over cheese and vegemite sandwichs.. which i will leave unexplained because it was hilarious and im just imagining y'all wondering how on earth we could fight over such a thing!
well you can and we did..

and b. because im getting picked up for a night of fun (which im sure will become a blog post ) in like half an hour and i absolutely must get ready..
